My concern is, if this is identical to the supposed subpar bluray-release, but with lower image resolution, I see no point but to get it on bluray instead. I ordered an older release of the dvd just to be sure a week ago (and also because it said it contained swedish subtitles, which was a plus since that is my native language), but when I got it, it was the current release of the dvd (this one: ). I have yet to understand though, if this applies to all the dvd-releases of the movie, or just the older ones.

I have been reading alot of forumthreads, here on reddit but also on other sites, about how the dvd-version of the original 1995 Gits-movie is the best one to watch, compared to the blu ray-releases that currently exists.
